Tillandsia elongata: A growing epiphytic plant native to Colombia that lives between 300 and 1,050 meters above sea level. It occurs in greater numbers in humid, wetter forests, but can also be found in drier areas. Its broad large rosette is symmetrical, its leaves broad and light green. Its inflorescence is complex, reddish in color and can reach up to one meter. The flowers are small and violet. Tillandsia elongata develops best in warm environments, but also requires higher humidity and good air movement. In summer it can be kept outside in filtered light and watered daily during the heat of the heat. It also thrives indoors if we provide it with enough light. In winter, water twice a week, but make sure that the excess water dries out of it.
