Tillandsia paleacea: Its natural habitat is in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Peru. It settles in coastal sand deserts, on rocks and trees of dry areas up to 3000 meters above sea level. Significant size differences can be observed between different habitat populations. From the 8-centimeter specimen to the 35-centimeter specimens, there are huge 60-centimeter specimens. The leaves are spiraled on the stem, silvery in color, and the specimens with denser scaly hair are almost white. It grows a long clustered flower stalk on which fragrant purple flowers open. It requires a lot of light, tolerates drought well. In winter it can be kept dry in a bright room at 5-10 ⁰C. If kept in a room in winter, water only once a week. In summer, place it in the garden so that it is exposed to sunlight all day and water it every two days.
