Tillandsia straminea: It is native to South America, Ecuador and Peru. It can be found from coastal deserts up to 2,500 meters high. Epiphytic plant, often growing on cacti and acacias. Its size is very varied, the smaller ones grow to 25 centimeters, while the larger ones can reach 40-60 centimeters in diameter. It has no stem or only a small stem, the leaves are silver gray, the old leaves are completely bent back. On the long flower stalk the spike of complex inflorescence are pink and the flowers are white with purple edges. The flowers are fragrant and flowering can take several weeks. It requires a lot of light and moderate humidity (40-60%). Watered in winter is enough once a week, in summer it can be every other day.
